The Christian Association of Nigeria on Tuesday disowned one Josiah Asumosa, an Assistant pastor with the whole Bible Believers Church located in Ondo State in whose premises 77 kids were rescued recently. The CAN President,  Dr Samson Ayokunle , said the pastor and his church are not members of the Association at all levels. A statement by the  CAN President Special Assistant (Media and Communications), Pastor Adebayo Oladeji on Tuesday, said no true pastor would claim to know the date of rapture because the Bible has stated it clearly that it is only God who knows the date. The statement read, "Though, the Pastor in question and his church, the whole Bible Believers Church, in Ondo are not members of the Christian Association of Nigeria at all levels and so, He is not known to us, but the fact that the Church necessitates that we state our position on his practice. There was panic in Umuoma Nekede community in Owerri West Local Government Area of Imo State as gunmen kidnapped a Lagos-based businessman. The victim, identified as Umunna Onyeokwu from Umuikea, Umuoma, was inside his car parked near the compound when three armed men confronted and whisked him away. An indigene of the community, who spoke to DAILY POST on Tuesday, said the community had been thrown into confusion following the abduction. He said the incident which happened on Sunday evening at about 7 pm is now causing panic in the community as the man had just returned from Lagos. Former National Chairma of All Progressive Grand Alliance, APGA, Victor Umeh, said yesterday that the coalition talks between the Labour Party, LP, and the New Nigeria Peoples Party, NNPP, ended on June's 15. Umeh, who is vying for a senatorial seat on the platform of LP, said the talks “collapsed completely” because both parties could not agree on who will be the presidential candidate. Speaking in an interview on Channels Television breakfast programme, Sunrise Daily,  Umeh faulted the presidential candidate of NNPP, Rabiu Kwankwaso, for giving the impression that the talks between both parties were still in progress. The ex-militant Founder of Niger Delta People’s Volunteer Force, Asari Dokubo, has said Peter Obi, the presidential candidate of the Labour Party, LP, is defrauding Nigerians with lies. Dokubo said this, Tuesday, on Facebook via his Dokubo Asari Justice Foundation page, adding that the OBI-dient movement of the former Anambra State governor cannot succeed “because it is going nowhere”.
